If your injury is urgent but stable
A GP, physiotherapist, urgent care clinic or emergency department can phone the rooms on 027 555 5210 to arrange early assessment. Recent imaging helps considerably, so having an X-ray first usually means you are seen sooner. The full pathway is set out on trauma and fracture surgery.
This practice does not provide an emergency service, and enquiries are not monitored continuously. If you have a new injury and cannot reach the rooms, see your GP, an accident and medical clinic, or an emergency department.
Send an enquiry
Use this form for general questions about appointments, referrals or the practice. If you are a GP, physiotherapist or another health professional, use the referrer form instead, which is routed to the referrals mailbox.
Appointments
How to arrange an appointment
Appointments with Dr Hoskins are made by referral from a health professional. Both GPs and physiotherapists can refer directly.
- If you are a patient
- Ask your GP or your physiotherapist to send a referral to the practice. Either can refer directly, so you do not need to see a GP first if you are already under physiotherapy care. If your problem followed an accident, mention your ACC claim number if you have one.
- What to expect at your appointment
- If you are a GP, physiotherapist or emergency department
- HealthLink EDI: coming soon (application in progress). Until it is issued, referrals reach the practice by secure email to referrals@nkh.co.nz, through the referral form, or by phoning the rooms. Mark anything urgent as urgent and phone as well as sending it.
- How to make a referral
- If you are not sure a referral is the right next step
- Phone the rooms or send an enquiry and the practice can tell you whether Dr Hoskins is the right person to see, and what a referral would need to say.
There is no cost to asking.
